Viva Vision Releases Mobile Entertainment Services for Univision Móvil
28 March 2008Viva Vision, a mobile video provider for the Latino community, this week signed a partnership deal with Univision Móvil, which offers a Spanish-language suite of mobile services like in-show wireless integration, mobile video, WAP portals and a downloadable content catalog.
With the partnership, the two companies will develop new mobile entertainment products for US consumers.
Viva Vision has developed an entertainment slideshow application that displays popular images from Univision’s content library to wireless handsets in the US. Viva Vision’s platform allows subscribers to pause, rewind, fast-forward and save favorite images from the slideshow. The subscriber community also controls which content is featured by voting on favorite images.
The company’s subscriber base doubled last year, and its revenues more than tripled with the release of a suite of patented mobile entertainment products that include slideshows, video on demand, and live video applications.
The Univision Móvil slide-show product is currently available on Verizon Wireless, Alltel Wireless, Metro PCS, Claro Puerto Rico and Centennial Puerto Rico, with new carriers to be announced soon.
