MoMac Buys Messagio SAS to Extend Presence in Europe
28 March 2008Mobile Web site developer MoMac has acquired mobile media solutions provider Messagio SAS.
MoMac hopes to extend its European presence and strengthen its technology assets.
Founded in 2003, Messagio provides technology for mobile Web, SMS/MMS and mobile video. It has clients such as Europsort, FIFA, PMU, AFP (Agence France Presse) and L’Oreal.
In 2006, Messagio released mobispirit.com, a mobile media platform to create mobile Web sites and messaging services in minutes. Messagio has developed several software components for mobile device detection, site optimization, video and publishing tools. The company will be renamed and continue its activities as MoMac France.
MoMac’s GoMedia mobile publishing platform currently manages over 500 mobile Internet sites across Europe, both on and off of operator decks. GoMedia is an end-to-end mobile media suite that enables media companies and brands to create and manage professional mobile Internet sites, including streaming audio and video, mobile advertising and social networking.
The company said the platform optimizes both content and functionality to the specific handset of the end-user, supporting all current devices from relatively simple handsets to smartphones, BlackBerrys and the iPhone.
MoMac also services many European Mobile Operator Networks, such as O2, KPN, 3, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile.
