Spotigo Launches Wi-Fi User Location for the Mobile World Congress
8 February 2008Spotigo has fine-tuned its Wi-Fi based Positioning Solution (WiPS) for a new application specifically for the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (Feb 11-14, 2008). This feature lets users see their current position on a map of the fairgrounds and find their way through the venue. Any Wi-Fi device or Wi-Fi tagged device can be located by its received Wi-Fi signal patterns. Think Google’s My Location or the SkyHook network for the iPod Touch. The application will be available for free on Spotigo’s Web site by February 11.
