Ezmo Has A Plan – Free Music On Your Mobile! Well Some of Your Mobiles
1 February 2008Ezmo, an online music player service, has announced a mobile capability of its service allowing users to listen to their music collection via mobile device.
Ezmo is a service that lets users upload their music collection, listen to it, share it with up to 10 friends and also listen to friends’ shared music.
The new Ezmo mobile player uses Flash, which is currently limited on mobiles, but Ezmo hopes it will be widely available on newer mobiles released this year. The mobile player streams music so the handset should also support 3G or Edge networks. Ezmo can also be accessed on handsets that support Wi-Fi.
Ezmo has a big advantage of offering unlimited storage space and putting no size-cap on files. Ezmo is banking on a lot however, as current Flash-enabled phones are a bit pricey and tend to have built in MP3 players and slots for microSD memory cards which dramatically increase their storage. It seems Ezmo is hoping a user’s library is so big and he wants access to all it, that he’ll not be able to store an adequate amount on his phone. If Flash gets more prevalent, look to see this service and others like it, but beware if models that don’t support Flash stay on top – the iPhone.
