Momail
Mobile mail service Momail announced that at the end of its first round of funding it had procured $5.4 million, which will be used for expanding its services.

Fresco Microchip, Celtic House, Venture West
Fresco Microship, developers of RF, mixed, and digital signal processing circuits, picked up $14.3 million in Series B funding, led by Celtic House and Venture West.

US Venture Partners, Box.net
Box.net, an online personal file storage company, has raised $6 million in Series B funding led by US Venture Partners.

WordPress, Automattic
Automattic, developer of the blog publishing software WordPress, has gained $29.5 million in new financing from four major sources including the New York Times
MixCast, Intel Capital

Smaato
Smaato, makers of the Smaato Open Mobile Advertising platform, raised $3.5 million in Series A funding.

Modiv Media
Modiv Media, makers of wireless shopping and promotional platforms, has score $8 million in its most recent round of funding.

Granicus, JMI Equity
Webcasting and public meeting services provider Granicus has landed $10 million in its first round of funding from JMI Equity.

Ad Infuse, SoftBank Capital
Ad Infuse, providers of personalized mobile ads, secured $12 million in its latest round of financing led by SoftBank Capital

Kyocera Corporation, Sanyo Electric
Kyocera will acquire Sanyo’s mobile phone business effective April 1, 2008. Kyocera will pay cash to the tune of $375 million.

Mixcast
Mixcast, providers of social media marketing tools, has closed its second round of funding with $6 million, led by Intel Capital.
